Contact support
Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and your Bike Steward app version. Please do not include bike serial numbers, receipts, or other sensitive records unless support specifically asks for them.
Your records
Bike Steward stores records locally on your iPhone. If the app is deleted before you export a backup, its local records may be removed with it.
Backup and restore
Open Settings, choose Export or Restore Data, then export a portable backup. Restoring validates the backup and creates a protected recovery point before replacing the current garage.
Photos and documents
If camera access is off, open the iPhone Settings app, choose Bike Steward, and review Camera access. The system photo picker can still provide only the photos you select.
Location
Nearby-shop search needs when-in-use location access. You can search by city or ZIP without granting current location.
Notifications
Enable Maintenance Reminders in Bike Steward Settings. If permission was previously denied, open iPhone Settings, choose Notifications, then Bike Steward.
Apple Health rides
Health access is optional. Review access in the Health app or iPhone privacy settings if imported rides are missing, then return to Bike Steward and refresh.
Safety
Bike Steward organizes observations and records; it does not certify that a bicycle is safe. Stop riding and consult a qualified bicycle mechanic if a bike may be unsafe.
